A day on the Island (Stradbroke)
We had a great day out with Mum and my long lost relative John & Dawn.
Mum was staying at our house for a week and mentioned that she would like to go to the beach.
The best and closes beach from our place is Stradbroke island.
You can get to Stadbroke island by car ferry or walk on ferry.

I thought that it would be nice for mum if we took the car ferry. The only problem with this plan was that the only time available on the ferry was the 5am trip.
This meant that we had to get up before the sun. This was not a problem as we ended up at the ferry with lots of time to spare. It was great to see the sun rising from the ocean.
We spent time on the beach and went for a walk where we saw kangaroos, manta rays and dolphins.
