Hughenden

( Friday 23/09/2022 - 27/09/2022)

We haven’t done a post in a while. We have both been busy with work and because of the heat spending lots of our spare time in any pool or puddle we could find. David set up our shower tenant so we could just jump in to get wet if there was no pool available.

Hughenden was a lovely little town. When we arrived we found this free camp site next to a man made lake with a water fall and a path surrounding it. David do go for a swim but the water was a mucky for me, I just stepped under the showers next to the toilet blocks.

Nice top finally get some grass to camp on

The next morning we walked into town. There was this little Holden diner with loads of Holden collections

And a number of interesting bits and pieces

We decided to move to a caravan park next to the pool, only $3 to get in and they stayed open till late which is unusual because most places close by around 2pm, earlier on Saturdays and nothing open on Sunday

David working away with a wine in hand lol. He was logged into a conference for work in South Africa

Our friend Jan has been travelling on a similar rout and we have managed to bump in to her in a few places. While David was on the conference we went to the beautiful lookout to see the sunset. It was spectacular.
