Far North Queensland - Daintree rainforest

Well, we have gone as far north as we can for now. The track past the camp spot turns to unsealed road to Cooktown.  It's also getting very hot and humid so we wish to move to  a cooler  climate.

The place we have been staying is called PK's Jungle Village. It has cool pub filled with lots of young people on holiday from the UK.  We were staying in a lovey campsite only a short walk down the road called Cape Tribulation camp, but that had no where to swim and the pub has a pool.

This area is Cape Tribulation in the Daintree rainforest. We are half way between Port Douglas and Cooktown.

The beaches are stunning, but full of  crocodiles  and stingers. If you have a boat you can go out to the reef where the crocs don't go.

I spent one morning working from this bench until a bunch of coconuts fell out of the tree and landed only an arms reach away from me.

The beach has these patterns on it , made by tiny crabs who work all day to bury them self under the sand.
