GLADSTONE

This week we stayed in the Gladstone Showgrounds close to the office of CBS Property with whom I am working. The Show grounds we next door the this amusing pool and tennis courts. We had a swim on the good days and david even managed to join a ground for a spot of tennis.

There were some lovely gardens along the walk to work each day. We had few good day but it rained hard for the week.

Meeting my team for the first time was lovely, they were very nice and welcoming. We got on very well and felt like I had known them for years.

Our last night in Gladstone was spent by the water at the East Shores Precinct and Water park. We did a sneaking overnight camp in the car park. The sunset was amazing and the park was a child’s dream. We went for a walk to a lovely restaurant in the park to sample the German Beer (it would be rude not to).

There were others who had set up chairs and eating dinner in the car park which we thought strange until we heard a Christmas concert across the water in a park and the Finale was fireworks.

You know you are close to a large city when there are the Golden Arches signs 40kms out of town

This was our little spot close to the ablutions at the Showgrounds.
