Trip To New Zealand

 We just got back from our two weeks in New Zealand.

This was quite an adventure as it did not turn out exactly as we had planned it.

Firstly the web site that I used to hire a car, I found out was a fake and was happy that I did not loose any money. This web site was possibly fooling many  people as there were no hire cars for a reasonable price.

The last few years of covid killed the hire car business and most of the hire car stock was sold. Now that tourism is building back up there are not enough hire cars to go around.

Our First week , we spent in the capital ,Aukland.

Then the next week we spent in the bay of islands.

As we could not get a hire car we then planned to catch the bus from Aukland to the bay of islands. But when we arrived to get on the bus we were told , due to the bad weather , the roads have been cut and there was no way to get there by road.

So we booked a flight the next day ( which was a lot of fun anyway)

We stayed at a lovely resort in Paihia.

We did all the things you do there , travel to Russel, boat tour to the hole in the rock and enjoy all the lovely restaurants.
