Yass
An old town with lots of history.
We stayed here overnight next to Morley Creek. This is a common camping spot for campervans and the magpies were very friendly, expecting a feed at your door.
I have never seen magpies so friendly. One even landed on my head, like a parrot waiting for me to feed it.
The town has many old pubs and a large shopping area with Woolworths and even an Aldi.
We grade a town's size if it has an Aldi store then it must be a growing town.
One place we did check out was Banjo Paterson Park
They had Banjo's poetry around the park on display.
We did think about staying in town for a week but after a walk around town, we thought we only needed the day so we moved on to Canberra after one night.
