Exmouth

I just realised how long it has been since I added to this Blog.

A lot has happened in the last 6 months.

We are currently residing in Exmouth.  Exmouth is a small town in Western Australia that is famous for its stunning beaches, coral reefs and wildlife. It's also the gateway to the Ningaloo Coast, a World Heritage Site that is home to the largest fringing reef in the world. If you love snorkelling, diving, fishing,  Exmouth is the place for you!

We came up here to catch up with Ben and Eve, (and Lenny)

I visited Exmouth last month and I had a blast. I stayed at a cozy caravan park that had a pool, a playground and a friendly kangaroo named Joey. Joey liked to hop around the park and greet the guests. He was so cute and cuddly, I wanted to take him home with me!

One of the highlights of my trip was swimming with the whale sharks. These gentle giants are the biggest fish in the ocean and they can grow up to 12 meters long. They are harmless to humans and they feed on plankton and small fish. I joined a tour that took me to the outer reef where the whale sharks congregate. It was an amazing experience to see them up close and swim alongside them. They were so graceful and majestic, I felt like I was in a dream.

Another thing I loved about Exmouth was the Cape Range National Park. This park covers over 50,000 hectares of land and has more than 700 species of plants and animals. I went on a guided walk that showed me some of the native flora and fauna, such as emus, echidnas, wallabies and wildflowers. The park also has some spectacular scenery, such as gorges, canyons and caves. I especially liked the Yardie Creek Gorge, which has a turquoise river flowing through it.

Exmouth is definitely one of my favorite places in Australia and I can't wait to go back there someday. If you're looking for a fun and relaxing holiday destination, you should check it out too. You won't regret it!
