Queanbeyan
After spending a week in Canberra at the lovely Alivio Tourist Park, we moved on to the town next door, QueanBeyan.
The tourist park in Canberra was lovely as it is surrounded by bush but not convenient for getting to shops and other coffee shops. The Queanbeyan caravan park is the opposite. It does not have a bar and coffee shop but is right next to town with Coles shops and the library all within walking distance. The caravan park has only the bare essentials but a pretty view of the river.
The town has a great library that we have been taking advantage of. It has comfy chairs and a new heated building and is only a ten-minute walk from the van.
Right next to the Caram Park is the Buster boat which is very convenient. We used the bus to catch a trip to Canberra to see the flower show. This was a much better idea than driving in as there was nowhere to park. Everybody wants to see the flower show called "FloralArt".
