Comet Renovations continued.

Today we pressed on with lifting the floor covering only to come across another hurdle.

Lifting the floor in the van, thanks to a YouTube video worked well but trying to get the floor covering of the step uncovered another issue, ARGH!

OH dear the wood under the flooring had been wet at some point in its life and is just crumbling. Fortunately there was another piece of wood under this one of much better quality and was still intact and in good condition. It took David a better part of the day to remove the rotten piece of wood.

We went to Bunnings and decided to purchase a piece of lovely pine wood and stain and varnish the wood the same colour as the new floor, well near enough. David is doing a good job cutting it down to size.

We also had a lovely visit from our youngest grandchild Koa. Such a happy little man wish we could see him more.

Christopher has started the cushions and it looks and fits great, such a professional job. Only 9 more to go. It’s a bit hard to see in the photo but the colours match beautifully with the curtains.

Tomorrow it is back to our day jobs but we will continue with the renovations before, at lunch and after work.
