Day 1 of EBC trek
EBC (Everest Base Camp)
today we start the treck to the bottom of the tallest moutain in the world.
We hope to get to 18,000 feet (5500 m)
We started at Lukla and getting here was a heap of fun.

We arrived at the airport early as we were flight number 1. But the weather was not agreeable for mountain flying. We had to wait many hours before the fog lifted and we got under way.
The aircraft is nice and small so you can see everything that is going on.

As soon as we landed we had lunch then we were on our way to our first tea house at Phakding.
