Hike to Artists Cascades
It the first day of autumn which means that it is time to take a dip in one of my favourite swimming holes in SE Qld, the Artist Cascades.
I hiked with the brisbane hiking group. We started at the Booloumba Creek camping and day-use area and then up to the Artist Cascades, via the Gold Mine. Half way is the Strangler Cairn where we had a snack and a drink before we headed to the Artists Cascade.
There was more water in the falls than I have seen before, thanks to the recent rains.
The swim was a great way to cool off after walking the the hight humid rain forest.
The walk was approx. 15kms return (4.5+ hours including stops) Class 4.

A final stop on the way home to pick up some fruit and Veg!
Plenty of Pinapples here!
