KINGAROY

After the Bunya Mountains we traveled Kingaroy and are staying in the show grounds. We are very thankful for towns opening up their show grounds for campers and found most have very nice ablutions and some even have access to power and grey and black water dumps stations. The other campers seem more friendly too for some reason. We just missed out on seeing the Circus that was set up just meters from our van. Unfortunately they were packing up when we arrived. The markets are at the show grounds each Saturday so I am looking forward to that. There is a gliding club here, David may go there while I am at the markets.

We are not sure how long we will stray here because it seems we have a leak in the hose of our power steering. Not a huge issue but the mechanics are all booked up for a few weeks, we are trying to see if someone can fix it sooner. We were sort of expecting little issues to come up occasionally being an old van

Kingaroy is home to one of  the largest peanut growing and processing operations in Australia.

It is great little town with lots to see and do including museums, lookouts and part of the Brisbane Rail Trail that David and I have cycled before.
