Longreach
Finally here and boy oh boy where the flies and dust bad.
We found a free camp ground by the river where we were told people dump their rooster’s if they have too many. They were beautiful birds that live in the trees at night and come and wake you up ion the morning.
We only stayed one night because of the pending rain we were told the ground turns to mud and we would not get out. The rest of the time here we just stayed on the street in town, no body seemed to mind.
There were so many activities here you could stay a month but because of the rain lots of activities were canceled.
There was a lovely heated pool in town that we visited each morning for Laps and a nice hot shower.
This stage coach ride would have been amazing but our turn was cancelled so we dec tied to go on the paddle steamer which turned out to be amazing. We saw the sunset on the boat then had story time around the fire with a bush Tucker dinner and movie by the water.
